Set for launch in Hall 2 Stand 440 at SPS IPC Drives, the latest generation multi-camera system from Vision & Control is twice as fast as the previous gen. The hardware platform, a robust and energy-saving embedded PC, comes with an Intel Atom E3827 (2x1.75GHz). The Vicosys multi-camera image processing systems feature a digital monitor connection with up to full HD resolution and are compatible with their predecessors, which developers will appreciate.

In good image processing solutions the choice of the right cameras depends heavily on the task to be performed. In its proven Vicosys multi-camera system for industrial use, Vision & Control took the conscious decision to support a large number of cameras of a wide range of manufacturers in order to achieve exactly the best solution and meet just about every requirement on image processing. Vision & Control is one of the few companies able to offer a "one-stop" range of fully coordinated component systems for industrial automation that are instantly ready to use.

Assembly adapters ensure that the new multi-camera systems are compatible with their predecessor systems. The compact industrial PC case is suitable for curtain wall mounting. The passive and fanless integrated cooling system means the devices are almost wear free and ideally suited for use in industry. The support for GigE vision cameras (connected by means of a 4-channel PCIe PoE interface card) opens up the possibility of even faster access to the latest technologies in image recording and camera techniques. There is also an option to connect IEEE1394 cameras.

Key features:

  • Software compatible with pictor intelligent camera range: once the process is familiar, different degrees of difficulty in image processing tasks can be handled without having to think twice;
  • More powerful hardware thanks to Intel Atom E3827;
  • Robust, energy saving and low-cost; and
  • Integrated passive, fanless cooling.
