Beam profiling camera delivers 6MP at up to 27fps

Designed for applications where high speed, high sensitivity and high resolution are critical, the LT665 beam profiling camera has been released by Ophir Photonics. The camera features a fast USB 3.0 interface that delivers 6MP at up to 27fps. For improved resolution, the device features a 1” format which provides an active area of 4.5µm square pixels (2752x2192 array).

Power meter measures 120kW lasers

At Photonics West, Ophir Photonics announced the 120K-W Laser Power Meter, which is claimed to be the only commercial sensor for measuring 120kW lasers. The device, which is suitable for heavy-duty applications, such as welding, drilling, cutting and metal forming, measures high power, fibre, infrared and Nd:YAG lasers.

Laser beam profiling camera features SNR of 1000:1

Adding to its Pyrocam family of pyroelectric laser beam profiling cameras, Ophir Photonics announced its Pyrocam IIIHR, at Photonics West. Designed for OEM applications, this camera features a sensitive 160x160 pixel image array that can profile beams up to 12.8mm without the need for reduction optics. The higher resolution, 80µm pixel pitch means it can analyse beams up to 20% smaller.

Beam monitoring system now provides 2D viewing

At Photonics West, Ophir Photonics announced the expansion of its BeamWatch family of industrial laser beam profilers. Designed for material processing applications, the system is claimed to be the industry's first non-contact, focus spot size and position monitor for very high power YAG, fibre and diode lasers. The profilers instantly and accurately measure laser parameters without requiring contact with the laser beam.

LED source provides sensor with self-absorption correction

Designed for optical power measurement, the 3A-IS Optical Power Sensor and AUX-LED Self-Absorption Accessory have been released by Ophir Photonics. The 3A-IS is an integrated sphere and photodiode sensor system which can measure the optical power of divergent, narrowband light sources from 350 to 1100nm, such as lasers and LEDs. The AUX-LED is a current regulated LED source which corrects the effects of self-absorption.

Laser power sensor eliminates contamination & corrosion

Expanding the company's line of high damage threshold laser power sensors, Ophir Photonics announced the 1000WP-BB-34 High Power Water Cooled Thermal Sensor. All materials that come in contact with the cooling water are either copper or nonmetallic, eliminating the possibility of contaminating the water or corroding the sensor, improving the accuracy and reliability of the measurements.

Sensor covers wavelengths from 0.19µm to 2.9nm

A sensor, which is part of a line claimed to provide the industry's lowest measurable energy, longest measurable pulse width and highest accuracy, has been released by Ophir Photonics. Covering a wide range of wavelengths, from 0.19µm to 2.9nm, the F-PE80BF-DIF-C sensor is fan-cooled.

Sensor features a 'smart' connector interface

Featuring a 120mm aperture for handling large beams and laser diode bars, the 1000W-BB-120 thermal sensor has been released by Ophir Photonics. The water-cooled thermopile sensor, which measures power of 1-1000W and energy of 2-600J, features broadband absorbers that can measure a spectral range from 190nm to 20μm.

Beam splitters combine portable design with high power

USB communications added to laser power/energy meter

With USB communications added to StarLite, Ophir Photonics' low cost, handheld laser power/energy meter can directly communicate with a PC via USB. This USB option enables the StarLite meter to display all measurements on the company's StarLab 3.0 laser measurement software.

Laser profiling camera features 160x160px image array

A laser beam profiling camera, claimed to provide more accurate beam measurements, has been introduced by Ophir Photonics. The Pyrocam IV is the next generation of the Pyrocam family, following the Pyrocam III. The camera, which features a 160x160px image array that can profile beams up to 1/2" (12.8mm), measures both pulsed and continuous wave lasers, from 13-355 and 1.06-3000µm and greater.
