Stimulation of brain’s reward system reduces cancer tumours

Formula car helmet features head-up display

A helmet with a head-up display, enabling the driver to read the status of the car’s systems without taking his eyes off the road, has been developed by students at Technion. The helmet was developed for the third Technion Formula car, unveiled earlier this month in preparation for the FSAE, being held in Italy in September.

The illuminated heart

Technion researchers have developed a new approach for the treatment of abnormal heart rhythms by using a light based therapy. This technology has been reported in the journal Nature Biotechnology. The study was conducted at the laboratory of Professor Lior Gepstein from the Rappaport Faculty of Medicine and Research Institute at the Technion. Professor Gepstein is the Director of the Department of Cardiology at Rambam Health Care Campus.
