LUMAWISE integrates into new or existing light fixtures
TE Connectivity has unveiled the LUMAWISE dimming receptacle with wire leads pre-terminated with universal MATE-N-LOK connectors, allowing the dimming receptacle to be easily integrated into new or existing light fixtures. This ANSI C136.41 compliant LUMAWISE dimming receptacle with universal MATE-N-LOK connections provides a fully pluggable, electrical and mechanical interconnection between an ANSI C136.41-2013 photo control cell and luminaire.

Dimming receptacle complies with IEC 61984 Class II
Global connectivity and sensors provider, TE Connectivity (TE), has introduced the LUMAWISE dimming receptacle with double insulation. This feature allows the dimming receptacle to conform to the safety requirements of IEC 61984, Class II. TE’s ANSI C136.41 compliant LUMAWISE dimming receptacle with double insulation provides a fully pluggable, electrical and mechanical interconnection between an ANSI C136.41-2013 photo control cell and luminaire.

Cable assembly ensures reliable grounding for indoor lighting
A quick and reliable way to ground equipment in applications such as lighting fixtures, HVAC equipment and signage, has been introduced by TE Connectivity (TE), the Ground Clip cable assembly. A grounded light fixture helps provide safety when a wiring circuit malfunctions by ensuring that the fixture will not carry electrical current that can harm an individual. TE’s Ground Clip assembly allows for fast and easy installation due to a design that virtually eliminates the need for fastening ground lead terminals with screws or bolts.

Wire splice connectors for lighting installations
TE Connectivity (TE) has introduced the new Push Grip wire connectors for electrical installations. These tool-less, poke-in wire splice connectors provide visual termination of solid and stranded wires in gauges from 22-12AWG (0.5–2.5mm2). The connectors are colour-coded according to the number of positions for easy identification, and their compact size enables them to be used in tight spaces. A test slot incorporated into each connector allows for voltage testing.

New module introduced for smarter street lighting applications
A new compact connectivity solution for street lighting with LED light sources has been introduced by TE Connectivity (TE). TE´s LUMAWISE Endurance S module consists of a standardised interface between the receptacle and module base or sealing cap. This uses an integrated single gasket that can accommodate and seal both luminaire and module using the same connection interface for either 40mm or 80mm diameter central management systems.

LED Holder Type Z35 enables easy assembly
TE Connectivity has introduced the LUMAWISE LED holder type Z35 to provide a higher level of integration via a solderless connection to chip-on-board (COB) LEDs, using standard pan-head and countersunk screws. TE’s new LUMAWISE holder is suitable for LED boards from numerous manufacturers, in two sizes: 13.5x13.5mm and 12x15mm. It enables quick and easy assembly through tape-in LED retention and integrated poke-in wire termination.

TE Announces New Extension For The LED Holder Type Z50

TE Connectivity announces the release of extensions of the Type Z50 LED holder. The TE Solderless LED Holder, Type Z50, is a circular LED holder family that is now extended to provide a solderless connection to the Philips Lumileds LUXEON CoB LED array family (20x24), CITIZEN Electronics CLL030/032 and SAMSUNG LC026B/LC040B LEDs. These LED holders form the core of electrical, mechanical, thermal and optical interconnectivity. The Type Z50 LED holder effortlessly integrates with secondary reflector solutions from Carclo Optics and LEDIL enabling a shorter lead time and easier manufacturing process of LED fixtures.

Tyco Electronics unveils LED light pipe assemblies
LED light pipe assemblies from Tyco Electronics provide a convenient and easy-to-use way to achieve accent lighting. With versions for both low- and high-intensity LEDs, the system uses a linear LED light source and a large-core optical fibre to project light the length of the light pipe. An integrated reflector in the light pipe allows light to be directionally emitted along the pipe’s length. Applications include accent lighting in commercial buildings, appliances, rail, motor vehicles, marine, and commercial aircraft.
