Molex Incorporated recently expanded support to data and telecommunications networking customers with the addition of Quick-Turn Line (QTL) Cable Assemblies, providing rapid order processing and shipping on custom length optical cable assemblies. The QTL assemblies will shorten lead times for customers requiring small to medium sized orders of Molex optical cable assemblies.

Avago Technologies today announced its new Vortex Gearbox family of Physical Layer Transceiver devices supporting Ethernet and Optical Transport Networking. These devices feature Avago’s proven 28nm CMOS SerDes technology that has demonstrated compliance with IEEE CAUI and various Common Electrical Interface standards that include CEI-11G-SR, CEI-25G-LR, and CEI-28G-VSR.

Modulator Drivers for 100G Applications from M/A-COM

M/A-COM Tech has today announced the release of two new modulator drivers for 100G Ethernet applications at the ECOC Exhibition in Amsterdam. Packaged in a 4.7mm x 6.5mm SMD package, the MAOM-002108 is a high performance MZ modulator driver operating up to 28 Gbps. The driver IC has a very low power consumption of 1.3W at 6.0Vpp output, low RMS jitter, and a typical rise and fall time of 11ps.

New Transimpedance Amplifiers for 100G Applications from M/A-COM Tech

M/A-COM Tech has today announced the introduction of two new transimpedance amplifiers for 100GbE ROSA and 100G DP-QPSK applications. The MATA-002902 is a 28Gbps Dual Chanel Limiting TIA, ideal for 100G Ethernet ROSA (28 Gbps x 4) receivers. This amplifier operates from a +3.3V power supply and has a typical bandwidth of 21 GHz.
