MEAN WELL has been involved in the LED power supply field for years. Many models, such as the company's high-reliability CLG, HLG and HLG-C series, have been utilised in various kinds of outdoor or indoor luminaire applications. In order to cope with the intense competition in the LED lighting market, MEAN WELL has introduced the ELG family, at a highly competitive price.

The ELG family features models which provide 75 through to 240W, and all of the models operate from an input voltage range of 180-295VAC. The first product from the series to be announced, the ELG-150-C, is a 150W power supply with constant current and high voltage output.

This series adopts a fanless design, and with working efficiency greater than 91%, series devices operate at ambient temperatures of -40 to +70°C under free air convection.

ELG-150-C offers multiple function options, dimming functions and IP protection levels that can satisfy design flexibility requirements for lighting fixture designers.

ELG-150-C fits all kinds of LED luminaire applications, such as LED street, harbour, bay and greenhouse lighting, to name but a few examples.

The ELG series devices feature short circuit, over-current, over-voltage and over-temperature protections, and is supplied in a 280x144x48.5mm metal case. The series complies with the EN61000-3-2 Class C (≧50% load) standard for harmonic current limit, meets the EN61000-4-5 6kV surge immunity level and is subject to UL/CUL/ENEC/CB/CE approvals.

The type “HL” (for use in class I, Division 2 hazardous (Classified) locations) luminaires are supplied with a standard five year warranty.
