LED power supply claims to meet demand for 'plug and play'

An LED power supply suitable for a variety of applications has been launched by MEAN WELL. The OWA90U is a Class II unit (no FG) which the company claim meets the demand for 'plug and play' type power supply in the North American market.  The OWA-90U also provides both C.V.+C.C. modes of output that expand the product application range.

The power supply uses the 2 Pin standard US type AC plug, accepting 90-264VAC full range input voltage; the output end is equipped with a DC connector with 9 voltages (12-54VDC) that fit various types of LED luminaries applications.

The power supply is also safe to use, with UL8750 LISTED and FCC certificates. The OWA-90U has a built-in active PFC function with an efficiency of up to 91% and fully fitted heat-conducted silicone, making it possible to operate between -40 and +70℃ under free air convection. The series also uses the UL 94V-0 flame retardant plastic enclosure and meets meets IP67 level, the OWA-90U can therefore work in a highly dusty and highly moist environment.

Uisng the OWA-90U also saves energy as it has a no load power consumption below 0.15W. Typical applications for the OWA-90U include residential LED luminaries and LED office lighting fixtures.
