Suitable for indication applications of 4-12V DC, VCC has announced the CNX 310 series of LED sockets with a built-in current limiting resistor to provide optimal LED performance. The LED socket's design ensures that the current is delivered at a specific level called the characteristic, or recommended, forward current.

Simplifying assembly, the CNX 310 LED socket with embedded chip resistor eliminates the need for an external resistor and any additional soldering. Protecting against transient voltages, it also extends the operating life of the LED fixture.

Particularly suited for harsh environment applications, the LED socket is rated to NEMA 6P & IP67 protection and offers a quick, easy, drop-in replacement LED solution to traditional 12V incandescent indication lamps.

Supplied with a .281" diameter mounting hole, 5mm LED and wire leads, the CNX 310 series LED sockets are available with resistor values in the range of 120-2220Ω.
