Densitron has just launched a new Character type Alphanumeric OLED range, offering OLED displays in 2.26” (2x16 characters; PN: DD-2C16YW/WE-1A) and 2.93” (2x20 characters; PN: DD-2C20YW/WE-1A). The new OLEDs come with great features and user-friendly connector boards that enable easy system integration and high display performance in an industrial environment.
The OLEDs have thin profile, low power consumption, up to 50K hours half life time and an industrial operating temperature range of -40 ͦC ~ 80 ͦC. They also come with in-built font CGROM and Chip-On-Glass configuration, and offer a near 170° wide viewing angle and a contrast ratio (10000:1) that is higher than most standard alphanumeric displays (~ 500:1).

Alphanumeric OLEDs are perfect for card reader, DAB, measuring equipment, point of sale and smart meter applications, and for existing alphanumeric display users who look for compatible replacements that offer more value and greater aesthetic appeal. The new displays are pin-to-pin compatible with many character displays on the market and there will be no hardware or software configuration issues in most cases as the displays utilize standard 4/8 bit interface.

The new displays are currently available in white and yellow, and Densitron is pleased to offer customisation service to meet individual colour requirements. The new OLED displays can be further enhanced through Densitron’s Engineering Design Service which offers options on integrating standard or custom display modules with PCB, Plastics, and/or Keypads.
