The SEEPOS, a PSD signal processing tool designed to interface with a PSD and connect directly to a computer, has been introduced by Laser Components. Featuring a large range, the tool can detect laser spots from nW to mW in both CW and modulated modes. The SEEPOS software package, provided with the tool, allows users to control bias voltage, amplifier gain and analogue and digital features through the GUI.

With the software, the real time spot position is continually displayed in XY, X(t) and Y(t) graphs. Featured inbuilt plot algorithms allow this data to be visible on screen, even during full speed measurements. Using the data analysis suite provided, users can quickly scan through this data.

The tool's hardware includes a DB9 connector for the PSD mounts, a USB interface and BNC connectors which modulate the light and increase system accuracy.

The SEEPOS is suitable for users who want to become more familier with PSDs, users who want to test their own OEM PSD system or users who want to test the various parameters of PSDs or optimise their current systems.
