First phase WiFi 6 industry 4.0 trials successful
The Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA), the body leading development of next generation WiFi services, today confirmed the successful completion of its phase one trial of WiFi 6 infrastructure and services at the Mettis Aerospace factory in the UK. The trial was the first of its kind in the world and an important part of the WBA’s WiFi 6 test and development program.
Ultra-low-temperature FKM exceeds requirements
Greene Tweed’s Fusion FKM 665, a new generation, ultra-low-temperature and chemical-resistant elastomer, was specifically formulated to meet and exceed the requirements of Aerospace Material Specification (AMS) 7379 and AMS-P-83461. With a temperature range of -57 to +232°C, Fusion 665 achieves low-temperature performance without compromising high-temperature performance.

3D printed professional luminaires for a circular economy
Signify has unveiled its facilities to 3D print light shades and fittings (luminaires) in the Netherlands and plans to establish 3D printing factories in the US, India and Indonesia. This highly flexible, more sustainable form of manufacturing uses a 100% recyclable polycarbonate material, which allows luminaires to be tailored to customer’s exact needs and recycled at the end of their life, supporting a circular economy.

Graphene Flagship projects aim to shape EU’s environmental future
The Graphene Flagship has announced the launch of eleven new “Spearhead Projects”, each developed to take graphene-enabled prototypes to commercial applications. The success of the first Spearhead Projects, launched in 2018 - which included the world’s first graphene-enabled solar farm - inspired the Graphene Flagship to keep investing in these initiatives, aiming to take graphene-enabled products from the lab to end-users.
