Industrial camera housing integrates lighting & lens


Machine Vision solutions often require multiple components. In addition to the camera, a light and lens is usually needed. To save the user searching for additional components and enable immediately image capture, EVT has developed a housing which integrates the lighting and lens.

The housing has been specifically developed for IDS cameras. Surrounding the lens is one of EVTs ring lights from the BrainLight series. The BrainLight is an intelligent light, which can be programmed and controlled with EyeVision software. The user can program and save different patterns of illumination, which can then be loaded from memory - even after a restart.

Environmental conditions, such as water, dust and particles, as well as temperature and vibration, are important considerations when selecting a suitable camera case. When a system is used in a rough, industrial environment, it has to fulfil other requirements then when it is used in the clean room.

For certain environments extreme vibration and shakeproof are of key importance. Other applications may require a high temperature resistance. The Camera Case EyeMount (CCEM) offers a robust industrial housing, which is dustproof and protects the cameras from high-pressure water.

Additionally the CCEM housing is optimally compatible with the EyeMount mounting and positioning system, enabling users to very quickly fix the camera and housing position.
