See the latest lighting technologies at electronica 2014

A study by the German Energy Agency has revealed that LEDs are replacing the traditional light bulbs, ensuring optimum efficiency for challenging tasks in the automobile industry, smartphones and highly complex robots. Exhibitors will be demonstrating the latest LED lighting technologies at electronica next month, while the automotive conference and accompanying forums will also explore this topic.

The latest technologies at electronica 2012

Flatter, more compact, higher resolutions and higher contrast – those are the convincing features of the latest displays at electronica 2012. LED technology is also making advances. Implementing the EU’s eco-design guidelines is giving the market for innovative light sources positive new impetus. From November 13 – 16, exhibitors from around the world will present their products, the latest solutions and the most important trends in the display and LED sector. At electronica’s automotive Forum, industry experts will discuss displays and LEDs in the automotive sector. One of the highlights will be a panel discussion on “Lighting concepts and LEDs” on November 14.

In the area of lighting, optical technologies offer very promising solutions for more efficient use of energy resources. LASER World of PHOTONICS 2011, which will be held at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre from 23 to 26 May 2011, will feature resource-conserving lighting technologies for a wide range of applications using the theme “Green Photonics”. Through the focus topic of lighting, the world’s leading trade fair for optical technologies will concentrate on a key area in the industry and will present applications for automobile electronics, portable communication devices, medical technology and general lighting.

A large number of modern security applications have been made possible due to the rapid development of optical technologies in the last few years. Manufacturers of both civil and military security systems, as well as systems and plant manufacturers and raw material suppliers are profiting here from the great advances in optics, sensor technology and measuring technology. LASER World of PHOTONICS 2011 extends its range of products with the new exhibition area “Security and Defence”. Applications for monitoring and recognising objects and people, detecting hazardous substances or optimising production processes will be demonstrated in this exhibition area.

LASER World of PHOTONICS 2011 – Will focus on applications
Industry marketplace, think tank, knowledge forum, solution provider, source of momentum, networking – LASER World of PHOTONICS satisfies all these entirely different claims. Applications are the common denominator and are dealt with throughout the trade fair and the Congress. Optical technologies will become the focus of attention at the world’s leading trade fair and the World of Photonics Congress, which will be held one month earlier than usual from May 23 to 26, 2011. The key topics at the trade fair will be lasers and laser systems for manufacturing, green photonics as well as biophotonics and life sciences.
