ZYNQ processor enables real time evaluation for vision sensors

Measuring just 20x20mm, the EyeSens ZQ vision sensor is claimed by manufacturer Eye Vision Technology to be one of the smallest intelligent cameras available. The camera's real time evaluation makes it very fast. The powerful ZYNQ processor with DualCore ARM the vision sensor can carry out applications much faster than the ordinary EyeSens vision sensor.

Cross line generator suits machine vision

The new EyeMount system from EVT is a mounting and positioning system for mounting cameras, vision sensors, mini-PCs, displays and lighting for machine vision. It helps to dispose of the usual flaws of conventional fixtures by offering a permanent fixation of the monitoring unit.

EyeVision inspects glass vials for pharmaceutical industries

The pharmaceutical industry is utilising the EyeVision image processing software for the accurate inspection of glass vials. A smart camera from the EyeCheck 3xxx series is used, which also includes the EyeVision software. The camera is mounted above the conveyor belt and inspects the constantly moving vials with a speed of about 30 frames per second. With this camera several characteristics are inspected at the same time.

EyeSens now offers OPC support

The EyeSens systems from EVT Eye Vision Technology can now also serve as an OPC server. The OPC standard allows the EyeSens sensors and also the EyeVision software to function as an OPC server. Therefore, detected data such as measured values are now easily sent to a client. The user can determine which data should be sent with the standard interfaces (RS232 or Ethernet) of the vision sensor to the OPC client.

Image processing software now with Profinet

EVT Eye Vision Technology has announced that its EyeVision 3.1.12 LTS now supports Profinet and also an SQL database. Additionally, the image processing software EyeVision, is also prepared for Industry 4.0. Besides the revised colour inspection commands, the Code Reader was also extended (DMC, bar code, QR, etc).

EyeVision 3.0 for the production of credit cards

The EyeVision 3.0 image processing software is very flexible concerning its application possibilities. Therefore it is also applied at the production of credit cards. In the current case the BLOB command (object counter) is used. When manufacturing the cards, IC chips must be attached to the card properly using solder paste. The paste is dispensed to the cards at two positions and they must maintain certain amount and shape.

EyeVision software used in packaging machines

EVT's EyeVision Software can be used for a variety of applications such as in packaging machines for sanitary towels and incontinence products. The towels, which are ejected from the production machine, are inspected with an inline quality check for the correct alignment, the geometric contour and the thickness of the product.

Intelligent thermography-camera features freely programmable FPGA

EVT has developed an intelligent thermography-camera. The EyeCheck Thermo smart camera is based on the technology of the SAITIS-640 IR-Camera from DST CONTROL and EVT's software-knowledge. In the compact housing is a freely programmable FPGA. The integrated ZYNQ board Raze1-30 is at the customers disposal. It is also possible to use different ZYNQ boards, corresponding to customer requirements.

LEDs can be controlled by the user

A series of LEDs that can be controlled by the user has been introduced by EVT. The BrainLight LEDs allow users to create and save individual lighting patterns, which can be easily adjusted.

EyeVision now inspects defects on male & female threads

The EyeVision image processing software by EVT can now inspect defects on both male and female threads. The images are best captured with a super wide angle lens. The evaluation is carried out automatically with the EyeVision inspection programme, which inspects if the thread is complete and detects damages and flaws.

PLC-IO-Module offers four digital in- and outputs

The revised EyeMIO-v2 has been released by EVT. The EyeMIO is an PLC-IO-Module for industrial use. In combination with machine vision systems by EVT, it takes on the control of the peripheral devices and therefore is an interface between the image processing system and the production plant.

Flux inspection system optimises the connection of solar cells

Simultaneously evaluate a component from five sides

In addition to the software solution ChipControl, which contains a specialised command set for the inspection of various semiconductor parts, EVT now has developed the ready-to-use system ChipEye 5Side, which can be built into the machine to solve a large variety of applications with the already well proven commands. Users can inspect Pin 1, coplanarity, scratches and many more.

One command set for visual control of electronic components

  To meet the demands of automated visual inspections in the electronics assembly process, EVT has developed the ChipControl command set. This means that, in the well-proven EyeVision image processing software, there is the option to add the ChipControl command set.
