LEDs in automotive front lighting enable energy savings, new light designs and applications such as matrix beam and laser high-beam. Supporting the progress in automotive lighting Infineon Technologies launched high-power LED drivers specifically designed for automotive front lights. The drivers are available within the new LITIX Power Flex series and the LITIX Power series. They address flexible DC/DC driver solutions supporting LED systems of up to 50 W and even above.

Lenovo is the first manufacturer worldwide to bring Tango technology to a consumer product. Google's technology that allows devices to understand spatial information is an exclusive feature in the PHAB2 Pro smartphone launched today. Based on the Time-of-Flight principle, the REAL3 image sensor chip from Infineon equips the smartphone with a 3-dimensional perception of the surroundings in real-time.

Infineon's LED lighting interface IC allows designers to replace many of the discrete components used in conventional dimming schemes with a single device. Therefore, the compact and highly integrated CDM10V can reduce the component count and PCB space needed for dimming circuitry in LED lighting applications by up to 70%.

Integrated controller IC reduces system costs

Designed for lighting systems in the range of 40-300W, the ICL5101 lighting control IC has been released Infineon Technologies. The high-voltage resonant controller IC provides a high level of integration which translates to a reduction in system cost. Typical applications which benefit from these features include indoor and outdoor LED lighting, high-bay and low-bay lighting, street lighting, parking garage and canopy lighting, office lighting, and retail and shop lighting.

New 60V LED Drivers from Infineon Improve Efficiency, Light Quality and Operating Lifetime of Solid State Lighting Systems

Infineon Technologies introduces two new 60V DC/DC LED drivers that offer excellent power conversion efficiency, benchmark current accuracy that helps assure constant light output, and first-in-the-industry adjustable over-temperature protection that protects light elements from damage through overheating. The new ILD6070/ILD6150 drivers give lighting manufacturers the flexibility to produce multiple products using the same drivers, based on wide input voltage range (4.5 V to 60V), adjustable output current of up to either 0.7 A or 1.5 A, and support of digital or analog dimming inputs, with a maximum dimming contract ratio as high as 3000:1.
