High power laser sensor featuring high damage threshold
MKS Instruments has announced the Ophir 16kW High Power Laser Sensor, a compact sensor for measuring very high power lasers. The water-cooled thermal sensor measures powers from 100W to 16kW over the spectral range of 0.8µm to 2µm and 10.6µm. A relatively large, 55mm aperture is insensitive to beam size or angle of divergence.

These Universal Adapter (UA) power sensors can be fully integrated into host Ethernet systems for local, remote, and long distance measurements, such as in material processing and IoT applications.

Measurement for large-size street and industrial LED luminaires
MKS Instruments has announced the Ophir FluxGage FG1500, the newest member of the FluxGage family of compact measurement systems for LED luminaires. The FG1500 features an aperture size of 144 x 64cm, allowing for photometric measurement of large-size street and industrial luminaires, LED flat panels, and troffer lights. Photometric measurements include total luminous flux (up to 80,000lm), spectrum and colour parameters (CCT, CRI, TM-30), and flicker.

A 15-75mm, f/1.2 zoom lens has been announced by MKS Instruments, the Ophir LightIR is a new member of the LightIR family of lightweight, continuous zoom lenses. The LightIR 15-75mm f/1.2 was introduced at EUROSATORY 2018 and is a compact, thermal imaging lens optimised specifically for uncooled 10-12µm pixel size Long–Wave Infrared (LWIR) detectors.

MKS Instruments has announced Ophir BeamSquared 2.0, the newest version of the company's M2 laser beam propagation system designed to help users optimise laser performance. A robust, portable device, BeamSquared automatically measures the propagation characteristics of CW and pulsed lasers quickly, in less than one minute. It can optionally measure wavelengths above 1.8µm, including CO2 and terahertz, in manual mode.
