Image signal processor designed for automotive camera systems
Renesas has introduced an integrated open Image Signal Processor (ISP) solution to further ease and speed the development of automotive smart camera applications based on the Renesas high performance R-Car V3M and R-Car V3H System-on-Chips (SoCs). Integrating the ISP on the R-Car V3x SoCs and leveraging MM Solutions’ Automotive Camera Development Kit (AutoCDK), the open ISP solution on R-Car SoCs enables automotive Tier 1s to simplify the sensor calibration and tuning process for camera applications.

CMOS image sensor for 4K network security cameras
Supplier of advanced semiconductor solutions, Renesas Electronics, has announced a new high-sensitivity, high-resolution 8.48 megapixel (MP) CMOS image sensor (RAA462113FYL) that supports 4K video cameras. In conjunction with the existing Renesas 2.12 MP product that is already in mass production, Renesas will be providing full-scale sales support for its high-end CMOS image sensor for network security cameras.

Renesas announce development of the RAA305170GBM, an optical image stabilizer control driver IC for use in camera-equipped mobile phones and tablets. The RAA305170GBM is the first OIS driver IC available with the three systems of sensor/driver circuits for smartphones, raising the performance of functions such as Image Stabilization AF.

Renesas Electronics today announced its new DC/DC LED control demonstration kit based on the RL78/I1A microcontroller (MCU). The RL78/I1A MCU series of five application-specific standard products (ASSP) are designed for lighting applications. The RL78/I1A DC/DC LED control demonstration kit enables system designers to experience the benefits of MCU-based solutions for LED driver development. They can also learn about LED constant current control and various methods of dimming using the lighting-specific RL78/I1A MCUs.

Renesas Electronics Announces Driver IC for High-Efficiency LED Lighting Applications

Renesas Electronics, a premier provider of advanced semiconductor solutions, today announced the availability of its new driver IC, the R2A20135SP. The newest member of Renesas' driver IC family is designed for high-accuracy, high-efficiency LED lighting systems, and features an on-chip dimming function and a 40-percent size decrease for the mounting area, making it an ideal solution for LED lighting fixture manufacturers. Renesas will also provide an evaluation board with the new driver IC installed on it to provide development support for system designers. Renesas also offers a lineup of high-performance power MOSFETs for use with driver ICs for LED lighting systems as well as kit solutions featuring both types of devices.

Renesas Electronics Europe Announces New High-Speed Optocouplers Offering Extended Operating Temperature Range Combined with High Isolation and Shielding Features
Renesas Electronics Europe today announced the availability of two new high-performance optocouplers, the PS9324 and the PS9123, for industrial and motor control applications. The new high-speed optocouplers are designed for 10 megabits per second (Mbps) high-speed operation over an extended temperature range: between -40°C and 100°C for the PS9123 series and up to 110°C for the PS9324 series. The new devices comply with international safety standards such as UL, CSA and VDE (optional), making them ideally suited for applications in harsh industrial environments such as factory automation (FA), measurement equipment and motor-control.

Renesas announced the availability of its R2A20134 LED driver IC that supports LED lighting applications with high efficiency and a high power factor at low cost. The market scale of the LED lighting field is expected to grow substantially, spurred mainly by the adoption of LED lighting as a replacement for incandescent light bulbs. Since LEDs use direct current drive, it is necessary to convert the commercial alternating current power supply to direct current.
