Look both ways: TFT gets wider viewing angles
The Super Fine Technology (SFT) by TNE gives TFTs viewing angles up to 88° in each direction. It is available in several sizes at distributor Rutronik as of now. SFT is a specific form of the IPS technology, developed by NLT Technologies. This technology can realise very wide viewing angles in all four directions.

Full colour OLED module comes in circular form
A round active matrix OLED module from DLC enriches the established application sections and opens new markets. It is available with touch screen from distributor Rutronik. The active full colour OLED is offered in a circular form with a diameter of 40mm. In comparison to DLC’s round passive OLED, it has a much higher resolution of 400 x 400 pixels.

Duris S 10 is the latest addition to the Chip Array SMD family (CAS) from Osram Opto Semiconductors. This LED is characterised by high efficiency, high light output and uniform colour appearance. Toshiba’s new photovoltaic couplers TLP3905 and TLP3906 are available in SO6 packages at distributor Rutronik. Due to their extended operating temperature ranges and increased isolation voltages, they are ideal for use in measuring instruments, as MOSFET gate drivers or the replacement of mechanical relays.

Optocoupler guarantees minimum BCVEO of 80V

A new optocoupler from Lite-On is now available from distributor Rutronik. It consists of a high efficient AlGaAs light emitting diode and a high speed optical detector. This design provides excellent AC and DC isolation between input and output sides of the optocoupler.

World's brightest blue LED for emergency vehicle lightning by Osram Opto Semiconductors
With the Oslon Signal, Osram Opto Semiconductors launches a new LED that currently boasts the world's brightest blue light. Made using a special thin-film chip technology, the Oslon Signal can be operated even at a high current while providing a sustained, powerful, bright blue light. This is crucial for the signal lights of the police and emergency services. The Oslon Signal is now available at distributor Rutronik.

Diodes - LED driver from Diodes delivers higher current for low voltage LED lamps

The AL8806 buck LED driver from Diodes Incorporated is capable of producing a constant current of up to 1.5A from voltage sources of between 6V and 30V. Suiting MR16, 12V and 24V LED lamp design, the driver ensures a 5% average LED current accuracy for up to 9 high power LEDs over the wide operating voltage range, helping to significantly improve inter-lamp luminance matching.
