Discrete board-to-board connectors for LEDs

Discrete board-to-board connectors for LEDs
The use of LED strip PCB’s is popular in the efficient production of electrical lighting solutions. Würth Elektronik eiSos is now introducing a completely series of connectors for connecting LED strip PCB’s: WR-LECO is available with two, three, four or five poles and is attractive due to its very flat design, only 2.45 mm high.

Input couplers for SM, PM and MM fibres

Input couplers for SM, PM and MM fibres
Coupling the light of free space lasers into an optical fibre presents a challenge, and is particularly difficult with a small core diameter - as found in single-mode and PM fibres. High precision with very narrow tolerances are required to ensure optimal coupling efficiency. LASER COMPONENTS offer the ConnectFiber fibre coupler for precisely these applications.

Connectors & surge protection for LED lighting

Connectors & surge protection for LED lighting
LED technology is a durable and energy-efficient solution for lighting roads and objects. By means of the PTF butt connectors from Phoenix, two flexible PCBs can be connected quickly and easily in 24V applications operating at currents of up to 10A. Featuring a total height of just 4.2mm, 2- and 4-position versions are available. PTSM PCB terminal blocks with a height of just 5mm are used for applications with operating voltages of up to 320V and 6A.

Tx/Rx pair can be used with glass & polymer fibre

Tx/Rx pair can be used with glass & polymer fibre
A flexible fibre optic Tx/Rx pair, which enables systems designers to develop links using polymer fibre, has been released by OMC. If the distances involved extend beyond the range of polymer, the H19 connector system can be used with glass fibre. This upgrade is easy, requiring minimal changes and using the same diodes.
