It has been announced that Allied Vision's camera series for Industrial Embedded Vision has been nominated for the Embedded Award in the Embedded Vision category. A jury of industry experts selected the innovative camera module, powered by the ALVIUM technology developed by Allied Vision, for the nomination.

Specialist in high-speed machine vision systems, Mikrotron, has announced that it will introduce a suite of new cameras at the SPIE Photonics West, taking place February 5th to 7th, 2019, in San Francisco, CA, at the Moscone Center. SPIE Photonics West is a photonics technologies event, consisting of three conferences and two world-class exhibitions. Mikrotron will be in booth #5672.

The Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition), organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), ran until 30th October at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). One of the key sessions at the fair was the Smart Lighting Development Forum, held on 27th October, at which industry experts discussed current trends in smart lighting, the development outlook, and exciting possibilities for the industry.

Intertronics is exhibiting at the Fastening & Assembly Solutions and Technology (FAST) Live exhibition at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford. Fluke Process Instruments will present a thermal camera in addition to thermal imaging solutions. These devices facilitate troubleshooting, QA, and process optimisation in various applications. They help reduce scrap, save fuel costs, and ensure traceability to meet auditing requirements. They can be integrated in OPC and plant-specific networks. The ThermoView TV40 integrates both an infrared and a visible-light camera.
