A CCT tunable and warm dimmable light source with integrated ZigBee connectivity has been introduced by LED Engin at LIGHTFAIR International 2015. Delivering 700lm output and a high CRI of 90, the LZ9 LuxiTune enables independent colour and brightness control for compact track light heads. The device features 2 SDCM colour consistency at 3000K.

Featuring active thermal compensation, the emitter’s closed loop thermal feedback guarantees stable flux and CCT over the entire temperature range and provides thermal protection. The 2” diameter board and the 37mm diameter lens options make the light source suitable for compact track and accent lighting. The LuxiTune is also available at 2200, 1100 and 800lm outputs with 0-10V, DMX and DALI control interfaces. Featuring two modes of operation: Warm Dimming (3000-1600K) and CCT Tuning (2100-4300K), the device offers flicker-free dimming down to 0.5% that closely follows the black body locus.

At the trade fair, the company will also introduce the LZ7 multi-colour emitter. Designed for architectural lighting, the seven-colour device provides a fuller spectrum and outstanding colour across a uniform beam angle. Offered with a 7-58° zoom mixing lens, the emitter adds amber, cyan and violet to existing RGBW channels to achieve a richer colour combination for more sophisticated mixing.
