As an alternative to either roof prisms or Porro prisms, LASER COMPONENTS has introduced the Roof Mirror. Two first-surface mirrors are assembled using aproprietary process to form a 90°C corner with great accuracy. Mirrors can be coatedfor optimisation over a defined spectral range from UV to far IR.

Unlike roof or Porro prisms, the optical path is in air, eliminating material absorption, chromatic aberration and refraction or reflections from the prism front surface. TheRoof Mirror is insensitive to tilt or misalignment in one coordinate and the direction ofthe reflected beam does not change when the part is rotated around the ‘roofline’.

All Roof Mirrors are assembled in lightweight aluminium housing for protection andease of handling, and are compatible with most major mounting systems. Enquire regarding the wide range of standard coatings, sizes and accuracy options.
