Software for easy driver configuration, called deviceCONFIGURATOR, which allows customers to edit driver settings while reducing programming errors, has been released by Tridonic.

The application can configure both PREMIUM and EXCITE drivers of Tridonic. The software also supports the DALI USB interface and the ready2mains programmer.

Advantages of deviceCONFIGURATOR:

  • Optimised work processes: deviceCONFIGURATOR ensures that production personnel can write the correct driver settings easily and precisely into the luminaire. This allows the new tool to make your configuration processes more efficient during production.
  • Error reduction: No less than three functions of deviceCONFIGURATOR support error reduction: A traffic light function provides your personnel with direct feedback on configuration status, allowing them to verify the work step. In addition, secure driver identification is guaranteed through barcode scanning. DALI also provides optional verification of the written parameters.
  • Security: deviceCONFIGURATOR features password protection for scripts, preventing them from being altered during production. This provides an additional layer of protection for the correct configuration.

deviceCONFIGURATOR can set the following parameters, amongst others: current, corridorFUNCTION, chronoSTEP, constant light output, DC level for emergency lighting, the GTIN or item number of the luminaires.

"As partners, we provide integrated support to our customers during configuration and commissioning of lighting solutions. Starting today, deviceCONFIGURATOR is now offered as part of our wide service portfolio. The application helps our customers to program drivers efficiently and quickly while avoiding errors", said Martin Thompson, Product Development Engineer.

deviceCONFIGURATOR is available for free download here.
