Signage power supplies enable efficient heat dissipation


Designed for LED signage applications, where efficient heat dissipation for the components are critical in a low profile control cabinet, the PMR-5V320WDAA and PMR-4V320WCAA panel mount power supplies have been released by Delta Electronics.

The devices, which are an expansion of the company’s PMR series, feature a height of 30mm for installation in narrow spaces. To withstand polluted environments, the printed circuit assembly assembly are applied with a conformal coating and corrosion resistant aluminium casing. MTBF is greater than 700,000 hours, as per Telecordia SR-332.

The PMR-5V320WDAA provides efficient thermal management without the need for a fan. To increase the operational reliability of the connected LED signage, the power supply is offered with parallel connection options. Allowing for efficient thermal management and use of energy, the PMR-4V320WCAA has a built-in fan with automatic fan speed control. Both power supplies also feature built in PFC. 

For ITE, the devices are IEC/EN/UL 60950-1 approved. According to EN 55022, Class B, the power supplies also meet EMI standards. Conforming to harmonic current IEC/EN 61000-3-2, Class A and Class D, the PMR series provides high power factor values. For environmental protection, all Delta industrial power supplies are fully compliant with RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU.
