MeanWell is responding to the demands for higher power in switching power supplies for LED lighting with its NPF-120, NPF-120D and PWM-120 series. These models meet the requirements of the Ecodesign Directive in terms of set up time (under 500ms) and no-load power consumption ((PWM-120 less than 0.5W / NPF-120 less than 0.15W).

In addition to these impressive figures, the power supplies are rated to protection class IP67, and are suitable for use in damp or dusty conditions.

The NPF-120(D) series has a DC output with multi-mode functionality (constant voltage until the rated current is reached, then constant current), and can be employed for a wide range of applications, including interior and decorative LED lighting.

The PWM-120 series, with its PWM style outputs, makes a suitable choice for LED strips and LED illuminants with current-limiting resistors. In addition to the integrated active PFC filter, these units also feature a wide input voltage range from 90 to 305 VAC.

With free air convection cooling, they can be operated at ambient air temperatures between -40 and +70°C (with derating). These power supplies come in a flame retardant, UL 94V-0 compliant plastic case and are protected against short circuit, overcurrent (NPF series), overload (PWM series), over-voltage and overheating.

All are CE compliant and have UL/CUL/ENEC/CB certifications. MeanWell's NPF-120 and PWM-120 series power supplies measure 191x63x37.5mm, and the company guarantees all units for five years. These power supplies will be in stock with distributor Schukat Elektronik Vertriebs GmbH very soon.
