Cree XLamp CMA high-current LEDs which feature optical-source sizes and package sizes consistent with the standard-density CXA2 series are in stock at RS Components. Similarity with CXA2 LEDs helps developers create higher-performing variants of existing lighting products to satisfy new market opportunities efficiently.

Designed for best-in-class lumen output and efficacy at high drive currents, the XLamp CMA series features an enhanced metal COB design that ensures superior thermal management and reliability. Devices are available in 15mm, 18mm, 25mm and 30mm square package sizes, with 9mm, 12/14mm, 19mm and 23mm light-emitting surface (LES) sizes respectively.

They can be driven at up to 1050mA, for the 15mm parts, or 3600mA for 30mm parts, generating typical radiant flux from 16W to 82W respectively.

XLamp CMA series LEDs are available in colour temperatures from 6500K to 2700K, and leverage Cree’s EasyWhite technology for optimum colour consistency.

RS is stocking parts in 2-step or 3-step EasyWhite bins, ensuring CCT within two or three Macadam ellipses of the nominal value, with minimum colour rendering index (CRI) options of 70, 80, 90 or 95. The selection presents a versatile choice from the 36V CMA1516, CMA1825, CMA1840, and CMA2550, and 48V or 72V CMA3090 product lines.

Offering efficacy of up to 163lm/W (typical, 4000K, 70 CRI CMA3090), the range of sizes and colour temperatures available makes the CMA series a strong choice for non-directional lighting such as residential replacement lamps, chandeliers, floor lamps, sconces, and table lamps, or directional lighting including MR and PAR replacements, accent lighting, track lighting, or spotlights. T

hey are also ideal for downlighting products such as recessed lights, can lights, pendants and surface-mount lights.
