Sunon´s latest offering is a range of high-efficiency passive cooling modules suited for indoor LED applications. The cooling modules offer numerous advantages such as no energy consumption, a very light-weight and compact design and zero noise level. They are fit for LEDs with up to 50W of power.

Sunon engineers have used a heat pipe solution, which is much lighter than aluminum extrusion, the conventional passive cooling solution. Heat pipe thermal conductivity is also much better than aluminium, offering much better cooling efficiency.

The base material of the cooling modules is comprised of a combination of aluminium and copper while aluminium forms the finishing material. The modules have a weight range of 195 to 290g. Customised solutions to fit specific client requirements are also possible with a prototype lead time taking just two weeks and a mere eight weeks for mass production.

Sunon's LED passive cooling module is easy to install since there is no motor and thus the system is very light-weight for installation. Furthermore, while customers traditionally mount their LED chip on the cooling module base, Sunon can make additional mounting holes or make the proposal based on customer's system fixing specifications on the CM base area if required and further simplify the installation process.
