Multicolour LED installation beacons available

Distrelec has announced that it now stocks the new multicolour 240 series LED installation beacons from Werma. Featuring a compact design, Werma’s new technology offers up to seven colours in a single beacon, allowing you to signal several different statuses with just one device.

Actuated via a simple cable connection or a pre-assembled M12 plug, the 240 series is extremely economical to run, requiring just 45 to 60mA. The technology is ideal for applications where installation space is limited, as the series comes with a diameter of just 55mm, and sits 46mm above the surface upon which it is installed.

The technology is easily installed with a single-hole mounting thanks to its M30 installation size. Bit-encoded actuation allows the three basic colours green, yellow and red to be displayed using just two PLC outputs. With additional outputs, blue, turquoise, violet and white can be activated. Also available with a built-in buzzer, emitting 85dB, Werma’s 240 series features the perfect attention-grabbing devices.

Michael Weidner, Branch Manager at Werma, said: “Distrelec’s network of automation and test and measurement industry specialists can rely on Werma’s new technology to signal faults or statueses on control panels, machinery and equipment. The series produces an extremely bright, all round light, with a frosted lens cap that creates a pleasant and warm light picture.”

Steve Herd, CEO at Distrelec, added: “The new 240 series from Werma offers our customers a long-lasting, reliable, maintenance-free beacon with a lift span of up to 50,000 hours. Connecting our network with dependable technology allows them to focus on what is important.”
