Optical wavelength splitter eliminates DWDM power meters
TEMPO’s recently launched optical wavelength splitters allow a standard powermeter (OPM) to be able to measure signal levels in WDM networks. The wavelength splitter OWS200 splits multiplexed wavelengths found in NGPON2 networks (Next Generation Passive Optical Networks) also known as TWDM-PON.
Temperature-stable pyroelectric LTO detectors available
LASER COMPONENTS’ LT3111 series pyroelectric LTO detectors (lithium tantalate detectors) are especially suited for Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. The core of this new detector series is a 7-µm-thick chip. Compared to other materials, LTO is extremely temperature stable and robust.
APD and SPAD devices enhanced with photon detection
X-FAB Silicon Foundries has just introduced its latest generation of avalanche photodiode (APD) and single-photon avalanche diode (SPAD) devices. Leveraging its proven automotive-qualified 180nm XH018 high-voltage process, X-FAB’s new APDs and SPADs benefit from innovative architectural modifications, with substantial improvements in performance exhibited compared with the company’s earlier devices (which were initially announced back...
TEMPO solutions for fibre testing in harsh environments
Fibres are commonly used for deployment in environments with high levels of electrical interference (EMI). To carry out installation and maintenance measurements requires test instruments that can operate in such environments. TEMPO’s range of test instruments have been engineered for use in areas with such high electrical interference, they have enhanced performance: MIL-STD-461E, Method RS103, tested up to 200V/M.
Thermoelectric coolers deliver precise spot-cooling
The new UltraTEC UTX Series thermoelectric cooler from Laird Thermal Systems delivers precise spot cooling to maintain peak performance of lasers and optoelectronics. Because of its solid-state operation, the UltraTEC UTX Series provides low maintenance and long-life operation.
What are LED spacers and mounts?
Widespread use of LED technology for lighting tasks from indicators to headlights has brought forth a need for many mounting possibilities, as described in this Knowledge Centre article offered by Essentra Components. Accessories such as LED spacer mounts, LED light pipe panel mount technologies and LED lens holder options are discussed.
4K SONY STARVIS camera with ultra-low light performance
e-con Systems has announced that it is bringing its new SONY STARVIS based 4K Ultra-HD MIPI camera module to the market for smart city, sports vision, quality inspection and factory automation applications. This camera module is suitable for applications requiring high level of image recognition and detection with a compact design, which makes it suitable for video analytics purposes.
Pitch line imaging with high-NA EUV interference lithography
Imec has reported the use of a 13.5nm High Harmonic Generation source for the printing of 20nm pitch line/spaces using interference lithographic imaging of an Inpria metal-oxide resist under high-numerical-aperture (high-NA) conditions.
