The smart lightbulb that has HD audio speakers, 16 million colours, intercom and voice notifications, is being funded on Indiegogo by LightFreq. The LightFreq Square 2 wakes users up every morning with weather alerts, traffic alerts, music and soft lighting. The bulb also notifies the user when a TV show is going to start and allows them to play music.

The bulb has a warm 2700k white with automatic, motion-activated lights and music. It allows users to have whole house high-quality audio and streaming capabilities and whole house intercom system. The bulb connects to a smart phone which allows it to give voice and visual notifications such as missed and incoming calls, texts, emails and social notifications.

The switCH app is compatible with iOS4 and above, Apple Watch, Android & Window devices. Users can also set the mood with different themes, which change the colour of the bulb.

With a 120° beam angle, built-in WiFi and Bluetooth, the bulb has a 40,000 hour lifetime. The light also has an intercom, allowing users to speak right into the built in microphone on their laptop, smartphone, tablet or watch to anyone in the house where there is another bulb.

There is also the LightFreq MUTE, which has the same lighting functionality and switCH app connectivity that the Square2 does, but it doesn't have a built-in speaker or microphone. The MUTE is completely synced with the LightFreq system, but acts only as a supplementary device.

You can help fund the bulb here.
