Global Warming has influenced our environment deeply. How to control the emission of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) has been a serious problem for every country in the world. In order to give our customers excellent eco LED products, Everlight Electronics Co., Ltd. [TSE:2393] take the leads in the world's first 3rd party verified Carbon Footprint Declaration of LED products by SGS, an international certificate organization that follows the PAS 2050:2008 standard verification from UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service). The declaration was launched in late 2010.
PAS 2050:2008, a UK national specification, plays an important role as basis of the coming ISO standard (ISO14067-1/-2) that captioned specification specifies the assessment of the life cycle greenhouse gas emissions of goods and services. Everlight took this standard and calculated the possible Carbon Dioxide Emission of the LED product including the original materials, production process and testing.

LED has been a well known eco light source, but every manufacturer has its own way of declaring environmental protection. Everlight has adopted this international third party verification to create a reliable Carbon Footprint Declaration of LED products for our customers, and we would like to take the lead and encourage all of the LED industry to work harder in protecting the environment for our next generation.
