Laser optics customisation to meet specific requirements
LASER COMPONENTS has announced that it manufactures laser optics that are optimally adapted to meet the customer’s requirements. This not only applies to series production but to the individual lenses and mirrors produced in house as well. From substrate production and coatings to a thorough outgoing goods inspection, all operating steps are carried out in house.
AI-powered smarthome camera uses dual lenses for dark environments
EZVIZ has announced the launch of its most advanced and highly anticipated outdoor smarthome camera, the C3X. Thanks to dual-lens camera setup, C3X produces colour video in extremely dark environments (lab test result: 0.005 lux condition), without turning on the spotlight. As a result, C3X users see authentic details in night time images, such as the colour of clothes and cars, which are routinely lost in traditional security cameras.
Drivers for high-power continuous wave laser diodes
PicoLAS introduced two new drivers of the LDP-CW 250-40 series to offer efficient control of high-performance continuous wave laser diodes. The electronics are housed in an ultra-compact casing and achieve an output power of 10kW at a power density of 5W/cm³. At an efficiency of 94%, both models generate a maximum output current of 250A and an output voltage of up to 40V.
Optical corrector for WEAVE multi-object spectrograph
The Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC) and the Isaac Newton Group of Telescopes (ING) have accepted delivery from SENER Aeroespacial of the Prime Focus Corrector (PFC) optical corrector for the WEAVE Multi-object spectrograph of the William Herschel Telescope (WHT), located on the island of La Palma (Canary Islands, Spain).
CW visible doped fibre laser from Laser Components
LASER COMPONENTS has announced that it now offers Lumibird’s CW Visible Fibre Lasers (CVFL series), the frequency converted ytterbium and/or erbium-ytterbium doped fibre lasers designed to provide fixed wavelength outputs from 520nm to 790nm. We provide 520, 532, 546, 560, 577, 642, 660 and 780nm as standard wavelengths and output power up to 3W.
APD drive electronics from Laser Components
LASER COMPONENTS has announced that it now offers a wide range of avalanche photodiodes (APDs) with performance optimised for different signal levels, spectral ranges, bandwidths, temperatures and volumes. These extremely sensitive detectors can detect light levels down to single photons and are widely used in automotive, medical defence and scientific markets.
Fibre lasers and amplifiers for your application
LASER COMPONENTS has supplied the highest quality fibre lasers and fibre amplifiers for a large variety of applications such as defence, environmental monitoring (remote and in situ sensing), and scientific research. These devices from our partner Lumibird cover a wavelength range from 0.35µm to 2µm and are available either in continuous or pulsed regime.
Optical preamplifier receivers for space communications
Communications in space demand the most sensitive receivers possible for maximum reach, while also requiring high bit-rate operations. A novel concept for laser-beam based communications, using an almost noiseless optical preamplifier in the receiver, was recently demonstrated by researchers at Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden.
Visualisation tools for invisible laser radiation
LASER COMPONENTS has announced that it now offers a comprehensive range of alignment and visualisation tools for invisible laser radiation, covering a wide variety of power levels and the entire spectral range from UV to IR.
