ODC’s three devices, ODD-470W, ODD-525W and ODD-660W are designed specifically for applications such as auto light-dimming (both interior and exterior), fluorescence detection, colour sensors, and general daylight detection tasks.

Each of the devices has an active area of 0.62mm² and have peak sensitivity at 470nm, 525nm and 660nm respectively with responsivity figures of 0.3A/W (Blue and Green) and 0.42A/W for the Red version.

The new selective wavelength photodiodes have spectral bandwidths of 70nm to 100nm without the use of optical filtering. All of the devices feature extremely low dark currents and will typically allow system designers to achieve higher Signal-To-Noise performance than the common approach of using a silicon photodiode with external filter.

Hermetically sealed in a standard TO-46 window can, the new selective wavelength devices easily integrate into new and/or existing systems.
