TT Electronics has launched the 'Quick Quote Program' - a speedy service centred on 48-hour turnaround on custom quotes for customising its Optek optoelectronic solutions.
Designed to help customers move forward quickly on new projects and improve time-to-market, the programme covers specific electrical and mechanical changes, housing modifications, and test conditions.
Customers can take advantage of the programme worldwide, through a global network of dedicated staff at TT offices spanning the Americas, Asia, and EMEA.
"Modern day customers expect rapid, accurate responses to their custom product inquiries as consumer demand for high quality services and expertise increases,” said Raymund Chua, Global Product Line Director of Optoelectronics at TT.

The Quick Quote Program is a simple 1-2-3 process. A dedicated staff member helps the customer complete a standard quote request form including any additional supporting information. Next, the Quick Quote Team performs engineering and pricing assessments, and then delivers a custom quote to the customer within 48 hours.
Electrical customisations covered by the Quick Quote Program encompass binning, burn-in specifications, and temperature cycling and testing. Mechanical customisations include trimming and forming leads, custom cable lengths, and external connector options.
Also covered are housing modifications that do not affect electrical performance, such as adjustments to height or mounting tabs. Customers can also request specific test conditions for high reliability or UL testing.
The Quick Quote Program covers basic customisations to TT’s broad optoelectronics portfolio, which includes infrared emitters, infrared sensors, fibre-optic transmitters and receivers, optical isolators, high-performance visible-LED modules and discrete LEDs, and screened high reliability products including hermetically sealed devices and COTS emitters, sensors, switches and isolators.
More extensive customisations are possible to meet specific requirements, subject to a deeper analysis and quoting procedures.
