Photline Technologies introduces 850nm Reference Transmitter for 100GbE Testing

This is an optical modulation unit that generates high quality NRZ optical data streams at data rates up to 28Gbps, and incorporates a 850nm laser source, a modulation stage based on a high speed LiNb03 Mach-Zehnder modulator coupled with a 40Gb/s RF driver and an automatic bias control circuitry. It can also receive an optional photodetection stage.

The ModBox-850nm-28Gbps-NRZ provides R&D and production engineers with state of the art performance and the peace of mind of a turn-key instrument. It can be used as a reference transmitter for 100GbE conformance testing in optical telecommunications laboratories and in production test beds.

ModBoxes reference transmitters are also available for alternative modulation formats and wavelengths (1310nm, 1550nm, 1060nm).
