Self-powered wireless sensor solutions bringing intelligence to light
At Lighting Fixture Design Conference, 20th-21st June, London, EnOcean, aims to demonstrate how self-powered wireless solutions provide sensor data for IoT and lighting networks to bring intelligence to light.
Lightweight, continuous zoom camera lenses
A 15-75mm, f/1.2 zoom lens has been announced by MKS Instruments, the Ophir LightIR is a new member of the LightIR family of lightweight, continuous zoom lenses. The LightIR 15-75mm f/1.2 was introduced at EUROSATORY 2018 and is a compact, thermal imaging lens optimised specifically for uncooled 10-12µm pixel size Long–Wave Infrared (LWIR) detectors.
New lenses optimised for 10-12 micron pixel size uncooled cameras
At EUROSATORY 2018, a new range of lenses was announced by MKS Instruments with the Ophir SupIR family of compact infrared lenses, designed for use in 10-12µm pixel size uncooled cameras.
LucidShape software for lighting design and analysis
Synopsys has announced the latest release of its LucidShape software for the design, simulation and analysis of automotive exterior lighting. Sophisticated new simulation capabilities in LucidShape version 2018.06 make the design of automotive headlight and signal light systems faster and more efficient.
Linkable lighting with limitless design possibilities
A high-performing, continuous lighting solution for commercial and residential interiors has been introduced with the LED LiteBards by MaxLite.
Enabling the development of electro-optical devices
A research team led by physicists at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) has developed molecular nanoswitches that can be toggled between two structurally different states using an applied voltage. They can serve as the basis for a pioneering class of devices that could replace silicon-based components with organic molecules. The development of new electronic technologies drives the incessant reduction of functional component sizes.
CLi Pro driver range comes with DALI and analogue variants
Harvard Technology has expanded its CoolLED Pro programmable driver range, with the addition of a CLi15 1-10V/0-10V Analogue dimmable and CLi40 DALI variants. Fully optimised for a wide range of connected lighting systems for a range of applications, the power factor corrected, fully isolated output driver, was initially launched in November 2017 at the LUX Live exhibition, in a 15W DALI variant, delivering a programmable output current rang...
Putting Russia 2018 in the spotlight
Ten of the 12 stadiums that will be used as venues for this summer's World Cup in Russia will have their lighting provided by Signify (formerly Philips Lighting). The stadiums include Luzhniki (Moscow), Krestovsky Stadium (Saint Petersburg), Fisht (Sochi), Ekaterinburg Arena (Yekaterinburg), as well as soccer stadiums in Kazan, Rostov-on-Don, Kaliningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, Volgograd and Samara.
Extended InGaAs array suitable for process control
LASER COMPONENTS is a manufacturer of extended InGaAs arrays. Their research and production facility in Arizona supplies customers all over the world with industrial grade quantum detectors. The semiconductor material absorbs incident IR photons in the intrinsic region generating electron hole pairs which are collected at external electrodes. Photovoltaic detectors are an option in many applications due to their high sens...
Small LED indicator for thick panels
Microprecision’s longer M6 thread 3mm CDLB series panel LED enables customers to design panels with 3mm LEDs to their own specifications, eliminating the need to change to larger LEDs to fit thick panels. The CDLB series mounts in panels up to 8mm in thickness- even when supplied with the optional washer for IP67 sealing. The front mount nickel-plated housing has a prominent bezel shape with a protruded LED.
